Oh my sweet KRUSHL plates you will be missed! I decided it was time to get my new Utah plates put on the other day. One- because my Idaho tags were expired and Two- I have already been pulled over while living here. (no worries I talked my way out of the speeding ticket & expired tags....I'm so sorry officer while batting my lashes...)But I'm seriously sad about these new plates! I've had KRUSHL plates for almost 15 years now. My parents had personalized plates for all of us kiddos. KRUSHL for me, KYLURE for Kyler who LURES the girls in, and KERILYN for Keri. We were too cool! I'm getting old and time has flown by since those 1st drivers license days. Heck, the 2nd day I ran over a poor innocent mail box. Also the High School memories from spinning circles in the snow-which my emergency brake never worked quite right after that and downtown cruising in Boise. Then I graduated and we move onto Renee barfing in the vents of my car from a little late night partying-only to blow out dried chunks of puke anytime the heat was turned on...ewww... But also Renee getting her RunA plates and Alayna the other roomie getting LAYNA. Again we were too cool! Then I think of all the fun road trips in my KRUSHL plates. The first drive with my babies from the hospital with dad driving oh so slow. You get the point! But by putting on these new Utah plates it has also sunk in even more that I'm Utah now. I'm not going back to Idaho anytime soon if ever.... So goodbye my KRUSHL plates. Thanks for all the good memories of having you on my cars! I'm going to just blend in and not stand out so much when driving around Utah.
Here in a few days we have officially lived in Utah for 2 weeks. The house is unpacked, the pictures are hung, I love our new home! Our condo community is perfect for our family. It seems most everyone is married with 2 children just like us. However, I was starting to be a little concerned. NO COOKIES had been brought over! So being Utah 80% of our community is probably LDS. We just moved in and I think we are a dang cute little family so where are the plate of cookies? I'm happy to report starting last night and again today the cookies and treats are rolling in! I love it! We have awesome families all around us that I can't wait to make new friends. Kanon is truly enjoying his new teacher and classmates. He is currently counting down the days until cousin Kaden comes here for a visit. Kanon got even more excited to find out today his friend Regan will be coming to visit us as well from California. (and mommy is super excited to see my sister & BFF Holly) Little Miss Kapri is oh so close to walking. She is a stairmaster in the new condo. No baby gates needed anymore! Shane just finished another blender show and kicked butt like he does. KA-POW KA-CHOW as lightning McQueen would say! We are happy to live close to grandma Hansen and her baby kittens and of course good old Uncle Dan who is currently wrestling Kanon in the background right now. We are going to enjoy the next few days with dad on his short break and fall in love with my hubby again!! Love you all!
You can tell I'm back home in Boise where I don't have time to play on my blog and facebook as much as I did when we were on our adventures in New York and North Carolina! August was a big month for our family. Kanon started Kindergarten and is loving it! He is making lots of new friends, loves his teacher, and doing the speech therapy again. I wish I had the laptop here so I could upload a picture of him flexing his muscles for the camera on his first day of school. Such a stud! Miss Kapri turned a year old on August 25th and had cute pink cupcakes for her party. She loves her first baby doll that grandma gave her. She feeds the baby a bottle and kisses it when the baby cries. She has 4 upper teeth coming in right now and has developed quite the sassy pants attitude. I'm constantly saying "you are such a girl". Shane has taken a new job with the Blend Tec company like his wife. He is currently in Utah being trained with our old roomie Dan and when finished he will be over all of the Utah stores. We will be moving our family to Utah in a month and will be there long term! We realized with Kanon starting school we can't do the summer programs with security anymore and be moving all over. Darn I kind of like my vacation this summer! J/K I'm excited for Shane and know he will do awesome. I always said I would never ever live in Utah and here we are going to Utah. Can't wait though!!(not so excited about packing this house up) I'm busy busy busy being a single mom right now with Shane gone and working the blenders as well. Love my Blend Tec blender. I start another 10 day show on Friday. Go to willitblend.com and watch the funny things they blend in it. I hit up Kiddie Kandids today to do some pics for Kapri turning 1 year old and here are a few of them. Love my cute little kiddos!
I wanted all of you to know that my little miss Kapri aka grabby patty loves the laptop. At any time when she hears the little clicks of my typing this little grabby patty is all over it! She loves to push the buttons with her little fingers. As I was talking to my mom this morning I look over and here is Kapri sitting on the laptop kicking her feet on the keyboard to hear the noises. She knows it's naughty so she is quick to push as many buttons as possible before mom shuts it! She will be quite the little blogger one day I'm sure.
Oh friends! I decided to finally take the time to paint my over-due chipped toe nail polish and thought I would be in the clear of children while Kanon & Regan played Play-doh at the kitchen table. Of course not! They must have smelled it because they were soon all over me and my project. We decided to make Regs a princess and paint her nails & toes with Ka-shell as she calls me, but poor Kanon was feeling very left out. "But I'm not a princess so do they have black darth vader nail polish" he asks me. Okay so I'm sure they do at Target but do I really want to start putting black nail polish on my 5 yr old son? What if he goes thru that awful gothic or rocker stage in highschool and then we link it back to the time mommy painted his nails black. LOL! But I felt so bad with him just sitting watching us I made a K on his big toe and a heart on the other big toe. I told him it's cause he "makes my heart happy" and "K" for Kanon & Krechelle. He is happy and content now to be a little included and I figure a little dab of pink won't hurt him! I guess that is what we do when you are home all day with mom and your best friend is little Regan.
I'm in love with Raleigh, NC! We are surrounded by beautiful thick trees everywhere. I feel like we are out camping in Island Park near Yellowstone. What is awesome is we can go camping and it's only a 5 minute drive from our apartment! We spent last Sunday at the William Umstead Park fishing, hanging with our good friends, eating delicious steak k-bobs and to top it off SMORES! Oh my gosh I refuse to blog about how many I ate in a row but just know they were so delicious and I toasted those big mellows to a perfect brown! We didn't make it an official camping trip by sleeping in a tent since we don't have one so we went home to our comfy apartment smelling of camp fire smoke. Maybe I will have to shop craiglist for a tent! I don't want to go home to Boise! Oh family pics. We tried this pic 4x for reals! Maybe Shane enjoyed the smores more than I did!!! The people here are kind and so polite with the "yes maam" and "thank you maam". Love it! Kanon has a new buddy named Paydon who is a few years older but is a Star Wars nerd like my son so they play great together. Oh Kapri!! She is a girl...such a tantrum throwing girl. Here is Kapri wanting her brothers toothbrush and then after a few seconds of it in her hand the actress of the year award tears are shut off and she is happy. Oh my goodness girls are so different from little boys. LOL!
I've been married for 7 years now to my hubby Shane. We have 2 beautiful children Kanon & Kapri. Shane & I are both in sales working for Blend Tec, a company based in Utah. We just moved our family to American Fork, Utah and are loving it! So many fun places to eat, shop and play. Welcome to Utah!
